To further reduce crime in our area, Tucker Summit CID has also been coordinating the installation of new or enhanced street lights throughout the district.
Before installation commences, the county will need to establish street light districts to allow the CID/City/County to begin conversations with the business owners in each street light district on the annual cost to be placed on their property tax bill. The CID will begin discussing the strategy for developing various street lighting districts with the county.
Phase one of the new district-wide street lighting project has been completed with the remaining two phases slated for completion throughout 2023.
Although there will likely be several street light districts, it’s possible that installations may occur at different time periods in 2023.
