TSCID 2026 LIGHTING UPDATE
The Tucker Summit Community Improvement District (TSCID) is excited to share that Georgia Power will soon begin installing new street light poles and luminaires in the Royal Atlanta Business Park area of the TSCID. This City and TSCID infrastructure project will bring brighter, safer conditions to an area that currently has limited street lighting.
This project, a TSCID and City of Tucker funded partnership, will be completed in stages, with installation expected to finish by the end of the year. Next week, crews will begin the first major phase: underground electrical service connections to provide power to the new poles.
What to Expect
- Timeline — Weather permitting, underground electrical service boring work is scheduled to begin the week of July 20th on South Royal Atlanta Drive and will continue for approximately two months throughout the Royal Atlanta area: North Royal Atlanta Drive, Commerce Place, Tuckerstone Parkway and North Royal Place.
- Pole Installation — Following completion of the underground electrical services, light poles and luminaires will begin installation, with overall completion of the project before the end of the year.
- Zero Operational Outages — Power and all utility services will remain fully operational.
- Open Access — All driveways will remain clear and accessible.
- Traffic — Driving lanes will remain open, though minor delays may occur during active work hours.
