As we move into the holiday season, I’m reminded of just how incredible the progress has been across Tucker Summit CID this year! From major infrastructure advancements to continued investment from our business community, the momentum throughout the district is undeniable. I’m grateful for the partnership, engagement and support of our property owners — your commitment is what makes this district thrive.
This month’s newsletter highlights several exciting developments, including the completion of key operational improvements, ongoing work to strengthen safety and mobility, and the remarkable curb appeal enhancements made possible through our partnership with Southern Care Lawn and Landscape. You’ll also find updates on our districtwide streetlight program, new business openings and opportunities to get involved with our businesses’ events like FODAC’s upcoming Breakfast with Santa fundraiser.
As we celebrate Thanksgiving, I hope each of you enjoys a restful holiday surrounded by family, friends and delectable food. Looking ahead, I’m optimistic about the continued growth and investment we will see in the district — and energized by what we can accomplish together in the year ahead!

We had an incredible turnout for the Tucker Summit CID State of the District and Owners Meeting on November 13! It was wonderful to gather with our engaged business and property owners, celebrate the progress made across the district this year and preview the impactful projects planned for 2026.
A huge thank-you to our speakers — DeKalb County Commissioner Robert Patrick, City of Tucker Mayor-Elect Anne Lerner, Tate Wilson of KB Advisory Group, Major Matthew Hardin of the DeKalb County Police Department and Matthew Lee of Tucker-Northlake CID — for their thoughtful updates. We also extend our thanks to Stone Ridge Event Center for being such generous hosts.

Tucker Summit CID continues to prioritize a clean, attractive and well-maintained district for our businesses, employees and visitors. In partnership with Southern Care Lawn and Landscape, we’ve increased our efforts this season to upgrade landscaping, improve visibility and refresh key areas throughout the community.
These improvements are clearly illustrated in our before-and-after photos — including the restoration of an area impacted by a fallen tree and enhanced landscaping that now creates a more welcoming entrance for nearby businesses. You will also see recent graffiti removal work, part of our ongoing commitment to keeping the district safe, clean and professional.

Maintaining a clean, attractive environment is vital to fostering a thriving business community. That’s why Tucker Summit CID is committed to removing graffiti within 48 hours of notification. If you spot graffiti anywhere in the district, please contact Emory Morsberger at emory@tuckersummitcid.com or 770-409-8100 so we can respond quickly and keep our area looking its best.

Tucker Summit CID is thrilled to congratulate Mayor-Elect Anne Lerner on her recent victory in the City of Tucker’s mayoral race. She brings years of experience to the role, having served on Tucker City Council, where she has been a strong voice for thoughtful growth, business support and community engagement. Her background in public service and her passion for Tucker’s future position her well to lead the city through its next chapter.
The CID is eager to continue partnering with Mayor-Elect Lerner to advance projects that improve mobility, strengthen public safety and create an environment where businesses can thrive. Her leadership will play a key role in keeping the district competitive and welcoming for years to come.
Congratulations, Mayor-Elect Lerner — we look forward to working together! Learn more about her plans for Tucker here.

Rock Mountain Boulevard at Lewis Road – Operational & Safety Improvements
Mountain Boulevard and Lewis Road intersection, enhancing both safety and traffic flow. This project was designed to better accommodate heavy truck traffic, ease congestion during peak hours and create a smoother experience for the many businesses that rely on this corridor every day.
Now fully complete, the upgraded intersection is already delivering benefits across the district. The improvements support more efficient freight movement, reduce conflict points for drivers and contribute to a safer, more reliable roadway network that helps keep Tucker’s industrial economy moving.

Districtwide Streetlight Program
TSCID’s districtwide streetlight program continues to move forward and remains one of the CID’s most important public safety initiatives. After extensive outreach beginning in late 2023, TSCID successfully met DeKalb County’s requirement for forming streetlight districts, securing participation from more than half of the district’s total road frontage. The City of Tucker completed its review in September 2025, clearing the way for the next phase.
The plan includes nearly 300 LED roadway fixtures, more than 200 black steel poles with banner arms and fully underground wiring. With final authorization and permitting expected in late 2025 or early 2026, the program will soon begin installation across the district, improving visibility for drivers and creating safer conditions for employees walking to and from work.

Mountain Industrial Boulevard Intersection Design Projects
TSCID and the City of Tucker are moving forward on design work for several high-priority intersections along Mountain Industrial Boulevard. The effort will focus on locations that carry heavy traffic and freight activity, including Tuckerstone Parkway, East Ponce de Leon at Rock Mountain Boulevard, North and South Royal Atlanta Drive, Elmdale Drive/Roger Marten Way, Hammermill Road (South) and Lewis Road.
The city is leading the design phase with TSCID participating through a cost-sharing partnership. Designs are expected to be completed within the next few months, and once finalized, the CID will share anticipated construction timelines and next steps.

Santa is coming back to Tucker Summit — and he’s bringing breakfast! FODAC’s annual Breakfast with Santa returns on Saturday, December 7, with a festive morning of food, fun and holiday cheer. WSB Chief Meteorologist Glenn Burns will host the event from 9:30 a.m. to noon at Rehoboth Baptist Church, with all proceeds supporting FODAC’s Pediatric Home Medical Equipment Program. Each year, this program provides life-changing mobility equipment to more than 300 children with disabilities — making this family tradition more impactful than ever.
Families can enjoy breakfast, holiday entertainment and, of course, a visit from Santa himself. To purchase tickets or learn more about how you can support FODAC’s mission, visit their website.

The holiday season brings increased foot traffic, longer hours and higher demand for many of our businesses — but it can also bring a rise in crimes of opportunity. As you prepare for the busy season, the DeKalb County Police Department encourages all business and property owners to take a few simple steps to help keep employees, customers and facilities safe.
During the holidays, remind staff and visitors to park smart by choosing well-lit areas and avoiding spaces next to large vans or trucks that can provide hiding spots. Encourage employees to lock their vehicles and store all packages, bags and valuables in the trunk or out of sight. Staying aware of surroundings, limiting the amount of cash on hand and promptly reporting suspicious activity to store security or law enforcement can make a meaningful difference during peak shopping and travel times.
Beyond these seasonal reminders, DeKalb County Police also offers complimentary safety assessments for businesses within the district. An officer can walk your property, identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend practical improvements to help strengthen security year-round. If you’d like to schedule an assessment or speak with someone about safety planning, reach out to the DeKalb County Police Department for assistance.
