As we close out 2025, I want to thank each of you for your continued partnership and support. It has been an incredible year for Tucker Summit CID, marked by new collaborations, strong business engagement and important steps forward for our district. I recently met with Mayor-elect Anne Lerner to begin planning for 2026, and our early conversations make it clear that we have exciting opportunities ahead!
In this issue, you’ll find updates on several key projects and initiatives designed to shape the coming year — including the major safety improvements planned for the US 78 and Mountain Industrial Boulevard interchange. We plan to be your primary communication resource as construction timelines are finalized. If there are businesses you know in the district that may not receive our emails, please encourage them to sign up here.
We’re also highlighting local favorites like Tucker Brewing Company, now open for weekday coffee and lunch, and Stars and Strikes, a great option for team celebrations and outings this holiday season.
We remain focused on supporting your businesses, enhancing safety and ensuring that Tucker Summit continues to thrive. Thank you for being part of this incredible community. I wish you a joyful holiday season and look forward to all we will accomplish together in 2026!

Tucker Summit CID President Emory Morsberger met with Tucker Mayor-elect Anne Lerner for an incredible morning of conversation and planning about what’s ahead for the district in 2026! It was a great opportunity to connect early, share ideas and keep building on the strong partnership between the CID and the city.
They met at Tucker Brewing Company — one of the district’s staple businesses and now open for coffee in the mornings. A huge thank you to owners Ashley Hubbard and Ryan Chapman for hosting and always making TSCID feel right at home.
We’re excited about the momentum and look forward to working with the new administration to support our businesses, strengthen infrastructure and keep moving the district forward. Exciting things are on the way!

A major safety and mobility upgrade is moving ahead at the US 78 and Mountain Industrial Boulevard interchange — one of the district’s busiest gateways. The project will realign exit ramps, extend turn lanes, add a concrete median and improve lighting. These changes are expected to significantly reduce crashes and improve traffic flow for employees, customers and freight.
What You Need to Know
Timeline: Construction is scheduled to begin in spring 2026 and continue into 2027
Impact: This interchange is a major connection point for hundreds of businesses. Construction will bring temporary impacts, but the long-term improvements will significantly enhance access, safety and mobility for the entire corridor.
These improvements will affect traffic patterns throughout the district, and we understand how important predictability is for your operations. TSCID will keep all business and property owners informed at every stage — from pre-construction updates to traffic impacts to milestone announcements. Stay tuned to the monthly newsletter and email alerts to ensure you have the latest information as the project moves forward. If you register a mobile number with us, we can also share occasional text alerts so you have the very latest information.

Copper thefts are rising nationwide. According to the Wall Street Journal, incidents nearly doubled in the first half of the year. High copper prices are driving increased criminal activity targeting wiring and utility infrastructure — a trend we are now seeing within Tucker Summit CID.
In response, the CID has significantly increased patrols of vacant properties and is coordinating closely with the DeKalb County Police Department to deter theft and protect your businesses.
We encourage property owners and managers to stay alert. If you see suspicious activity, please call 911, or if you have a vacant property you would like the CID to monitor, please contact TSCID President Emory Morsberger at emory@tuckersummitcid.com or 770-409-8100.
Thank you for your partnership in keeping the district safe!
