There’s incredible momentum building across Tucker Summit CID, and we’re proud to share just a few highlights from what’s shaping up to be a season of growth and investment. From bright new landscaping at the district entrance to ongoing beautification throughout the corridor, our summer improvements are making the CID cleaner, safer and more welcoming for everyone who works and does business here.
We’re also focused on smart planning for the future. As we explore solutions for tractor trailer parking and infrastructure improvements, we’re inviting our owners to share feedback that will help guide future mobility and access strategies. Economic development is surging — Tucker recently welcomed Erica Rocker as its new director of economic development, and we look forward to partnering with her to attract even more opportunity to the area. And of course, we’re proud to spotlight FODAC, a longtime district partner, whose annual golf classic continues to raise critical funds for families in need.
Whether you’re new to the district or have been part of the Tucker Summit community for years, we’re grateful for your involvement and continued support. It’s your energy, innovation and investment that help this district thrive!

The Tucker Summit Community Improvement District is a bevy for logistics and transportation businesses. Our proximity to major metro Atlanta thoroughfares makes our district attractive to many businesses that need a high level of accessibility. Consequently, our manufacturing, warehousing and distribution companies require a variety of large tractor trailers, which can take a toll on our infrastructure.
Please take this brief survey regarding the need for tractor trailer parking or issues related to unwanted trailer parking. Your feedback will help Tucker Summit CID develop a strategy to manage the issue. Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts!

TSCID continues to invest in landscaping and beautification efforts to create a more welcoming and vibrant environment for businesses, employees and visitors.
This summer, crews have been hard at work refreshing plant beds, trimming overgrowth and installing colorful new plantings throughout the district – including stunning seasonal blooms at the entrance of the CID. These improvements not only enhance curb appeal but also reflect our ongoing commitment to maintaining a clean, safe and attractive community for all.

Tucker Summit CID congratulates Erica Rocker on being named the City of Tucker’s new director of economic development. With more than 20 years of experience in economic and community development, Rocker brings a proven track record in public-private partnerships, workforce development, small business growth and strategic investment across metro Atlanta.
Most recently serving as economic development officer for the Clayton County Board of Commissioners, she has also held leadership roles with the Development Authority of Clayton County and the cities of Sandy Springs, College Park and East Point. In 2023, she was appointed by Gov. Brian Kemp to the Stone Mountain Memorial Association Board of Directors.
In her new role, Rocker will lead the implementation of Tucker’s Economic Development Strategic Plan, serve as the city’s liaison to the Tucker Downtown Development Authority and collaborate with partners to attract and retain businesses while supporting long-term, inclusive growth.
“I am honored to join the City of Tucker and contribute to a vibrant, inclusive and forward-thinking economic development vision,” Rocker said. “Tucker’s leadership and business community have already built something special, and I look forward to working collaboratively to contribute to that momentum.”

There has been a recent increase in vehicle break-ins across metro Atlanta. Tucker Summit CID is committed to working closely with DeKalb County law enforcement to help keep the district safe for business owners, employees and their customers. By taking a few simple precautions, we can all help reduce the risk of theft.
Clean Car Safety Reminders
We encourage everyone in our district to participate in the “Clean Car” initiative:
- Remove all valuables and bags – even if hidden under seats
- Never leave your vehicle running unattended
- Lock all doors and roll up windows
- Take keys and key fobs with you
- Remind employees and visitors to take all personal belongings
- Never leave firearms in your vehicle
- Stay aware of your surroundings
- Do not attempt to confront a thief – your safety comes first
What You Can Do
Criminals are targeting areas where valuables are visible inside parked cars. Help eliminate the opportunity by ensuring nothing is left behind.
See Something Suspicious? Call 911.
If you witness any suspicious activity or even suspect criminal behavior, call 911 immediately so police can respond appropriately.
Your vigilance helps keep our district safer. Let’s work together to prevent crime before it happens.

Tucker Summit CID is continuing efforts to enhance safety and visibility throughout the district with a proposed street lighting project — and we need your support to move it forward. If you’re a property owner along the identified corridors and haven’t signed the petition yet, now is the time.
We are closing in on the participation needed to bring the project to the Tucker City Council for approval in August. By signing, you’re helping improve nighttime safety, increase curb appeal and create a more welcoming environment for employees, customers and visitors.

July is National Parks & Recreation Month — and there’s no better time to enjoy the incredible green spaces right here in Tucker Summit CID.
At the heart of the TSCID is Triumph Soccer Park, a hub for youth athletes and families that serves thousands each year. What began as a generous land donation from CID founder H.A. Pattillo and his sons has grown into a thriving community space that hosts everything from weekend practices to major tournaments.
Just a short drive away, Stone Mountain Park offers more than 3,000 acres of scenic trails, picnic spots and outdoor adventures — perfect for soaking up the last few weeks of summer.
This month, we encourage you to step outside, celebrate the power of parks and explore the green spaces that make our district one of the brightest in the metro Atlanta area!
