Tucker Summit CID President's Update
This has already been an incredible year for Tucker Summit CID, and we’re excited to build on that throughout the summer!
At our June 9 board meeting, we reviewed ongoing projects and initiatives focused on improving the district’s appearance, accessibility and long-term competitiveness while continuing to deliver value for our property owners and businesses. We also re-elected a longtime staple of our board of directors, ensuring experienced leadership remains in place as we continue moving the district forward.
I’m also pleased to share that TSCID’s millage rate remains at 4 mills. Maintaining this rate allows us to continue investing in infrastructure, beautification and economic development while maximizing the return on investment for our property and business owners.
You’ll notice some of those investments taking shape throughout the district. New signage is being installed, landscaping enhancements continue across the corridor thanks to our partners at Southern Lawn and Landscape, and major projects along Mountain Industrial Boulevard continue to advance. The MIB/U.S. 78 interchange improvement project remains on track, while plans for new district lighting continue moving forward, helping create a safer, more attractive and more connected corridor for businesses and visitors.

Ryan Chapman Re-Elected to TSCID Board
Congratulations to TSCID Board Member Ryan Chapman on his re-election to Post 3!
Chapman serves as president and CEO of GPI Group and co-owner of Tucker Brewing Company. Since joining the board, he has helped guide initiatives that support businesses and property owners throughout the district, bringing valuable insight from his experience as a local business owner and entrepreneur.
We appreciate Ryan’s continued service and look forward to his ongoing leadership as TSCID works to strengthen the Mountain Industrial Boulevard corridor.
New District Signage Taking Shape
If you’ve traveled through the district recently, you may have noticed crews hard at work installing new gateway signage near the U.S. 78 interchange by Stars and Strikes.
These new monument signs are part of TSCID’s ongoing efforts to enhance the district’s appearance, strengthen its identity and create a more welcoming experience for businesses, employees and visitors.
Work is progressing on the new signs, and additional signage improvements are planned throughout the district. Keep an eye out for these new additions in the coming weeks.
Mountain Industrial Project Updates
Hugh Howell Road at Mountain Industrial Boulevard
The Hugh Howell Road and Mountain Industrial Boulevard intersection project is moving closer to construction. Utility work is expected to begin within the next 45 to 60 days, with major construction anticipated to start in August.
The project will add new turn lanes to improve safety and reduce congestion at one of the district’s most important intersections. Work will continue through 2027.
U.S. 78 at Mountain Industrial Boulevard
The U.S. 78 and Mountain Industrial Boulevard interchange is also one step closer to construction. Bids were due June 4, with a tentative contract award scheduled for July 13.
The project will realign exit ramps, add turn lanes, install a concrete median and upgrade lighting to improve safety and traffic flow. Construction is expected to begin later this year and continue through 2027.
Streetlight Project Continues to Advance
Following the City of Tucker’s approval of the North-South Royal Industrial Streetlight District earlier this year, plans for the project continue moving forward.
Once installed, the new streetlights along North and South Royal Atlanta Drive will improve visibility and help create a safer environment for businesses, employees and visitors throughout the corridor.
We’ll continue providing updates as the project progresses.
