TUCKER, Ga. – July 23, 2025 – Tucker Summit Community Improvement District (TSCID) congratulates Tucker Brewing Company, one of its thriving members, on earning a prestigious silver medal at the 2025 U.S. Open Beer Championship. The brewery’s Southern Heaven Hefeweizen received the honor in the German Hefeweizen category, standing out among thousands out of this year’s national entries.
Tucker Brewing Company, founded in 2017 by siblings Ryan Chapman and Ashley Chapman Hubbard, has become one of Georgia’s most celebrated craft breweries. Known for its focus on traditional German-style lagers and wheat beers, Tucker Brewing has built a strong regional presence and now distributes through major retailers including Total Wine, Kroger, Whole Foods and Publix. Its award-winning Southern Heaven Hefeweizen was one of the first beers the company brewed and remains a customer favorite thanks to its smooth body, light malt sweetness and notes of banana and clove.
“I’m proud that Southern Heaven is being recognized on a national stage,” said Tucker Eagleson, head brewmaster at Tucker Brewing. “Our goal has always been to bring a taste of traditional German brewing to Georgia — and this medal shows we’re fulfilling that mission.”
As one of the only lager-focused breweries in Georgia, Tucker Brewing has played an influential role in the state’s craft beer market and helped cement the city of Tucker as a brewing destination. In addition to its production success, the company operates an 8,500-square-foot outdoor beer garden—the largest in Georgia—which was named one of the top beer gardens in the U.S. by USA Today. Tucker Brewing continues to attract visitors from across the region, supporting local tourism and contributing to the economic vitality of the district.
“Tucker Summit CID is proud to support incredible businesses like Tucker Brewing Company, whose continued growth and national recognition strengthen the district’s reputation as a center for innovation, tourism and economic development,” said TSCID president Emory Morsberger. “Their success reflects the entrepreneurial energy, economic growth and community pride that defines our region.”
