NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
The Tucker Summit Community Improvement District (“CID”) will receive sealed Bids for all material, labor, equipment and services to successfully accomplish the following work:”Lewis Road at Rock Mountain Blvd Operational Improvement Project ”. This work generally entails grading, demolition, asphalt paving, curb and gutter, storm line installation, striping and all related materials as shown on the Construction Plans prepared by Blue Landworks, LLC, as provided on the CID web site; https://tuckersummitcid.com. Bids shall be on unit price basis. Project is jointly funded by the City of Tucker and the Tucker Summit CID. Contractors submitting a bid must be GDOT pre-qualified.
The project shall be Substantially Complete within 60 calendar days from the date of notice to proceed. Liquidated damages of $500 per day will be assessed for each and every consecutive calendar day for which the completion of the project is delayed beyond the 60 calendar days; except for quantifiable weather events.
The CID will receive bids until 3:30 PM; December 10, 2024 at Thermal Recovery Systems, 4942 Hammermill Road, Tucker, GA 30084; ATTN: Emory Morsberger, President. Bids received after that time and date will not be accepted. Bids are to be submitted in an enclosed & sealed envelope and on the face of the envelope the following shall be shown:

Bids will be publically opened. Unofficial bid results will be posted on the CID web site. A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at 4942 Hammermill Road on November 21, 2024 at 10:00 AM. All potential bidders are strongly encouraged to attend.
A 5% bid bond is required. DBE’s are strongly encouraged to submit a bid but no DBE percentage is required.
100% Payment and Performance Bonds will be required on this project.
“Instruction to Bidder” and “Contract ITB” documents in the ITB must be completed and submitted with the bid.
All questions regarding the bid documents shall be made via email to CID Project Engineer; Larry Kaiser, PE, at kaiser@co-infra-services.com. The deadline to submit questions is no later than 5:00 PM; December 2, 2024. The CID will post all “Response to Questions and/or Addenda”, if applicable, on the CID web site; https://tuckersummitcid.com by no later than 5:00 PM, December 4, 2024. It is incumbent that those submitting questions follow-up with the Project Engineer to ensure that questions were received by sending a text or a phone call to 404-909-5619.

The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities and informalities. If the contract is awarded, it will be awarded to the lowest, most responsive bidder whose proposal shall have met all the prescribed requirements.
